By arranging or booking your appointment, it is assumed you understand and agree to the following Terms of Engagement:
Scope of Services: Psychiatric assessments, assessments for ADHD and Autism, medication management, therapy sessions, and mental health support to parents and children.
Clinic: Appointments will take place on Monday 10-6pm and Thurs 7pm-9pm unless additional clinics are arranged.
Appointment Scheduling: Appointments can be scheduled directly on line or by contacting my secretary, Vanda Cupit email: office@childpsych.uk
Parental Involvement: For patients under the age of 18, parental involvement is crucial. Parents or legal guardians are expected to participate in initial assessments and treatment planning sessions.
Confidentiality: Information shared during sessions will be kept strictly confidential, except in cases where there is a risk of harm to the patient or others or in the event of safeguarding.
Fees and Payments: Payment is due at the time of booking. Cash, credit/debit cards, and BUPA health insurance plans are accepted. Patients are responsible for any co-payments, deductibles, or services not covered by their insurance.
Cancellation Policy: At least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling is required. Refunds will not be provided for missed appointments or late cancellations.
Appointment Scheduling & Follow Up Appointments: It is your responsibility to book follow up appointments as advised to you, at your appointment. This can be done online or you can contact the office via email or telephone to do so.
Repeat prescriptions: Patients requiring repeat prescriptions should make a request at least 3 working days in advance. Please note that controlled medications such as treatment for ADHD, require a minimum of 5 working day’s notice.
Collaboration with Other Providers: With your consent, I may collaborate with other healthcare providers, educators, or therapists involved in your child's care to ensure comprehensive treatment. You consent to contacting your General practitioner regarding your care, unless you inform me in writing otherwise.
In case of emergency: In case of an emergency, please dial 999 or go to the nearest emergency department. I am unable to provide an emergency response or 24-hour care. Services are not provided out with appointment times. Any out of hours work will be invoiced.
Communication: You can contact via the website, email or telephone. You should expect to have a response within 2-4 working days. Please communicate politely and with respect. Any aggressive, rude or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated and we refuse the right to provide ongoing care.
Responsibility: It is your responsibility as parents or guardians to provide supervision, manage risk and oversee any treatment that prescribed. Please be aware that we reserve the right to advise and suggest onward referral or 2nd opinion in the event that your care falls outside of our scope of practice.
